TREASURE COAST DENTAL – Dr Rachel Squier

“The Face of Prosthetic Dentistry”

Dr. Rachel Squier is the only board-certified female prosthodontist in Florida. As if that were not impressive enough, there are an approximate 3,500 prosthodontists in the United States who comprise a slim 1.5 percent of all practicing dentists. The reason? It is a highly specialized profession. “The prosthodontist is best known as the architect of your dental project,” she says. “They have the vision of your outcome both the esthetics of your smile and the improved function of your bite.” Prosthodontists, who restore and replace teeth, receive extensive training in dental cosmetics during their graduate programs. After earning her bachelor’s degree in biology from Harvard University, Dr. Squier attended dental school at the University of Connecticut. At UCONN, she also completed her specialty residency and earned her master’s degre

e. Her practice, Treasure Coast Dental, offers such procedures as crowns, bridges, implants, dentures and veneers. “In addition to being a specialist with an ability to treat complex conditions, I do provide general dentistry services,” she says. “I like to emphasize my extensive training and expertise, but I want patients to consider seeing us because we are thoughtful and meticulous in our care. I treat patients as I would like to be treated: with exceptional care in a warm and professional environment.

Close those “Black Triangles” by Direct Dental Bonding

As our gums recede, as we become older, the space between the teeth that was previously filled with gum tissue disappears. This creates ugly “Black Triangles” that age a smile and can be a difficult esthetic problem. The access and the geometry of this type of esthetic case make it very demanding. Direct Dental bonding is a possibility and Porcelain veneers are another possibility.

The direct dental bonding is extremely cost-effective and can be done in one visit. The alternative is to completely re-shape the teeth with porcelain veneers. This is easier, but is much more aggressive and more expensive. There are very few dentists in the country who have the training, skill level, and techniques to achieve this beautiful result. Don’t trust your smile to someone who merely claims to be a cosmetic dentist. Go with the real thing for this one.

This patient was unhappy with his smile for exactly this reason.
We were able to close his “Black Triangles” using an injection molding bonding technique, extremely cost-effective and performed in one visit.
There are very few dentists in the country who have the training, skill level, and techniques to achieve this beautiful result. Needless to say, this patient was thrilled with the results.
