Precision Dentistry
When you seek care at our office, you are assured that Dr. Dr. Squier and staff utilize the latest technology to enhance the quality of your care, ensure accurate diagnosis, and provide optimal results at every appointment.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT)
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is a type of imaging that uses a single, cone-shaped beam rotating around the head to capture images from various angles. This information is then processed and reconstructed to create a highly detailed, 3D image of the area scanned. The process takes less than a minute, with the machine rotating around the patient.
The 3D dimensional views produced show not only your teeth, but the jawbone, nerves, soft tissues, sinuses, and surrounding structures. This added detail allows us to diagnose and create treatment plans with greater accuracy and precision. CBCT scans use significantly less radiation than traditional X-rays, making them safer for our patients.
Laser Dentistry
For patients who do not look forward to needles, drilling, or numbness, Laser Dentistry may be the right choice.
Laser dentistry is one of dentistry’s most exciting advances. The laser delivers energy in the form of light. Depending on the intended result, this energy travels at different wavelengths and is absorbed by a “target.” In dentistry, these targets can be enamel, decay, gum tissue, or whitening enhancers. Each one absorbs a different wavelength of light while reflecting others. Laser dentistry can be used for both tooth and soft tissue related procedures. Oftentimes no local anesthesia is required. Unlike with the dental drill, with laser dentistry there is no heat or vibration, making the procedure quite comfortable for most patients. For soft tissue (surgical) procedures it eliminates the need for suturing and healing is much faster.
Lasers can also be used to diagnose cavities. They can find hidden decay in teeth in the early stages, and in some cases the decay can be reversed through hygiene and fluoride treatment and may never need filling.
Digital X-Rays:
Digital X-rays offer more precision since we view the image on a high-resoulution computer monitor, instead of holding up a 35mm film to a light source. Digital X-rays result in 1/6th the radiation exposure to you.
Intraoral Scanner
Dr. Dr. Squier uses advanced intraoral scanner technology to make your dental visits more comfortable, efficient, and precise. An intraoral scanner is a small, handheld device that captures highly detailed 3D digital images of your teeth and gums in just minutes. Unlike traditional dental impressions that require messy impression material, the scanner provides a fast, comfortable, and accurate digital alternative.
The detailed digital scans allow our practice to evaluate your oral health with exceptional precision while helping you better understand your diagnosis and treatment options. By using digital scanning technology, we can improve the accuracy of your treatment while making your overall experience more comfortable and convenient.
