Full Mouth Reconstruction | Port St. Lucie FL
Full mouth reconstruction refers to the process of completely restoring all of the teeth in your mouth. Full mouth reconstruction, unlike a “smile makeover,” is a necessary series of procedures, rather than an elective surgery. Full mouth reconstruction is needed when: teeth have been lost, teeth have been injured or fractured, teeth have become worn as a result of acid-erosion or jaw pain is present due to bite problems.
Procedures Involved in Full Mouth Reconstruction
Every patient’s full mouth reconstruction is different and, therefore, requires various different procedures. Usually, full mouth reconstruction requires multiple office visits and some amount of healing time. Dr. Squier will determine which procedure or combination of procedures is necessary to restore and rebuild your perfect smile. Dr. Squier will also refer you to other dental specialists if needed.
Some Full Mouth Reconstruction Options Include:
- Crown lengthening to prepare tooth structure for possible crowns or bridges
- Surgery to reposition the jaw (orthognathic surgery)
- Contouring of the gum tissue
- Reduction of natural tooth structure to prepare for crowns, bridges, and veneers
- Placement of temporary restorations to get you used to your new teeth or bite adjustment
- Placement of permanent restorations such as crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays, or bridges
- Braces to move teeth into the ideal position for reconstruction
- Bone or soft tissue grafting to increase the stability of your teeth or implants

Patient Review by Paula H
I went to several dentists looking for answers for my problem teeth and I realized that this is the place for after searching for so long. So so glad that I came here!! She was the only dentist that recommended to splint my bottom teeth to avoid losing them. No one else mentioned this option or maybe had the knowledge to perform it. I look like I've had veneers when I did not. She took my mouth to another level that only she could have done. You are at the RIGHT PLACE no matter what work you need to have done. Trust Dr Rachel 100%. You will be so happy with your results! And you will enjoy the process as the demeanor is light hearted along with a friendly and joy filled office!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Lifesaver After a Long Dental Journey After months of pain, frustration, and expensive dental work that didn’t hold up, I was fortunate to find Dr. Rachel Squier — and I can’t say enough good things about her care, professionalism, and expertise. She took the time to thoroughly examine not just the area that was failing, but my entire dental structure. What she discovered was eye-opening: years of grinding had left me with worn-down teeth, a serious overbite, and multiple cracks that had gone unaddressed. She created a full-mouth reconstruction plan that not only restored function but gave me hope that I could chew comfortably again — on both sides of my mouth. In contrast to my prior experiences, Dr. Squier was transparent, methodical, and exceptionally skilled. She communicated clearly, even when discussing difficult information, and provided realistic options without pressure. Yes, dental work like this is an investment – but I trust her completely and know I am finally receiving the quality of treatment I need. If you’ve been struggling to find a specialist who actually knows what they’re doing and truly cares about getting it right, don’t wait. Dr. Squier is the real deal.

Dr. Rachel S. Squier, DMD, MDSC, FACP, RNP (Really Nice Person). Seeing an alphabet soup of impressive acronyms after a doctor’s name is always a plus. But perhaps the most important “degree” is that of RNP: Really Nice Person. As for all the expertise one can gain in the field of advanced dentistry and prosthodontics, if not possessing the empathy and compassion to help a patient in need, all the training in the world won’t help. And so it was that I found Dr. Rachel S. Squier, a remarkably accomplished Board-Certified Prosthodontist in Port St. Lucie, Florida. I don’t even live in the market; to become Dr. Squier’s patient means a grueling, 10-hour round trip excursion for me to be in her care. But as an older woman having suffered a series of traumas to my teeth, and ending up with a bunch of cracked and damaged teeth as a result, I now live in daily pain. My full-time job turned from writing and publishing, to trying to solve a problem that is destroying my life. For this I am more than willing to make as many trips as necessary to be in Dr. Squier’s care. That’s a high compliment to any doctor: patients travelling from hundreds of miles away. Having now met the Good Doctor, I can unequivocally state that my read on her was correct. Dr. Squier agreed to see me after having sent her an overview of my dilemma. Her staff was incredibly accommodating in advance, and the Doctor herself even called me the day after receiving my inquiry. That’s a first! I was so impressed by her responsiveness, and clear commitment to “digging into the details” on this complex case. Staff set an appointment for me immediately – I wasn’t forced to wait months for an opening, given the severe pain I am in. I met with Dr. Squier yesterday, who gave me a full two hours of her time. She had also spent time in advance reviewing my radiographs, and came well-prepared. While she offered various ideas as to the source of my pain, I believe she believed my lived expertise as the patient, and the symptoms that began after each such trauma. In other words, I felt “heard,” and that this was a doctor who would be willing to approach a complex case and do the best possible with a challenging set of facts. Dr. Squier had clearly spent time studying my bone density and anatomical features impacting any reconstruction of my mouth. Her suggestions were excellent, and I left feeling there was a potential path forward to start getting me out of pain. I did not feel “rushed,” and sensed this is a doctor who truly cares. And, oh — she also cared to reach out in advance to my oral surgeon to understand his perspective (Dr. Zane Khan, whom I also highly recommend for anyone seeking expert maxillofacial oral surgery near Jacksonville). That says a lot that both took the time to connect on my behalf. I cannot share enough about how impressed I was by Dr. Rachel S. Squier, her entire staff, and offices. I am praying that I may become their patient going forward, and cannot think of a more qualified doctor to handle a complex dental reconstruction case like mine, for anyone in a fix such as I am. Give them a call! You’ll find the same welcoming vibe I did.

Dr. Rachel has changed my life. At the first consultation, she did a thorough review and presented all options. She was educating, clear and answered all questions honestly and helpfully. I chose full mouth reconstruction. There was hardly any discomfort, and no pain after visits with excellent advice about mouth care. Dr Squier is a perfectionist in the best sense, as well as highly intelligent, personable, and highly empathic. Amanda, Sarah, Cyndi, Shirley, and Lorraine are all professional, warm, and welcoming. I am among the few patients who love to go to the dentist! I joke, but it's not a joke, I am going to miss my visits now that the work is done!

I recently moved to the Treasure Coast area and needed to finalize and correct a historical embarrassment in my mouth and smile. The options for those here in the cosmetic dentistry field were many. The referrals to those qualified to complete such dentistry in this area were numerous. After much research and discussion I was referred to one Doc Rachel Squier who i was told was " a perfectionist to a fault". I found that comment interesting and sincere . I sought her out and made an appointment. She answered every question I had and was been very accommodating and professional to all my concerns expressed. She is now my Dentist. If you could see the before and after, you would know why. The end result flawless and comfortable. I've always felt welcomed at her office by her and her team. Shirley on the front desk, none could match . Amanda, who assists Dr Squier, you can simply trust. Her opinion has weight with me. I finally feel like I can smile and chew without being embarrassed again! If you need a dentist, cosmetic or otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate to call Dr. Squier. I can truthfully say that Dr. Squire and her team are the best I have seen and I will continue to go there and would highly recommend them to anyone. My experience here has been flawless. Dr Rachel Squire, a perfectionist to a fault. .
