Dr. Rachel Squier is a recognized leader in reconstructive, esthetics and implant dentistry, and is one of the few prosthodontists who places and restores dental implants.
Dr. Squier was educated at Harvard University and received her dental degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1998. She went on to complete a 3-year post-graduate specialty training program in prosthodontics, a Master’s Degree in Dental Science, and an additional 1-year implant fellowship, all at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Squier is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist. A prosthodontist is a dental specialist who restores and replaces natural teeth with special emphasis on esthetics. There are roughly only 400 privately practicing board-certified prosthodontists in the country. Of these, only 10–15% are female. Dr. Squier is one of these women and is currently the only board-certified female prosthodontist in the state of Florida.
Dr. Squier served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics, at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine from 2002–2007. Currently she teaches at the Indian River State College, providing continuing education to general dentists as well as instruction to dental assisting students.
Dr. Squier is Past President of the Florida Prosthodontic Association, a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Treasure Coast Dental Society. She is a fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists, a member of the International Team for Implantology, and the Academy of Osseointegration. Locally she is involved in the prestigious Seattle Study Club.
